Some more information from the Senior Leagues Steering Group relating to the proposed merger (30/09/24).
An open Q&A session concerning the proposed League Merger took place last week. The meeting began with a short presentation designed to remind attendees of the reasons for the proposed changes, as well as to review the various consultation steps taken during this process.

To ensure there’s no confusion, here’s what the next steps will look like in this process:

- EGM/SGM – Each league’s member clubs, as determined by their governance structures, will cast their votes on the proposal to dissolve their existing leagues and create the new Surrey Cricket Championship. If the motion passes:
- AGM – The inaugural AGM is planned for January 2025, presenting clubs with the opportunity to vote on various operational issues related to league cricket for the upcoming year, such as the provision of teas across different tiers. The Surrey Cricket Championship will clearly outline the process for clubs to submit their proposals for future AGMs.
