SUTTON CC INVITATIONAL XI vs PCA ENGLAND MASTERS

We are proud to announce that Sutton Cricket Club will be hosting the PCA England Masters at our Cheam Road ground in 2019.  This match is not only a celebration of everything at Sutton CC; it’s about seizing the opportunity to promote the game of cricket to our local community and encourage the next generation of players, administrators and coaches.

We would like to invite all members, supporters, local businesses and corporate bodies to be part of this very special event.  Your support would not only enable you to be part of a fantastic day, but it would provide the game of cricket and Sutton CC with a massive boost that would set us up to meet the considerable challenges of the years ahead.

ABOUT PCA MASTERS

The PCA England Masters brings together former international stars to play against an invitational Sutton CC XI, comprising of our 1st XI squad and invited guests.

The Masters have been entertaining cricket lovers for more than a decade, uniting local communities and businesses in a fun and unique way.

The programme is a key element of the PCA’s commercial activity, raising crucial funds to support the work of the PCA Benevolent Fund.

The PCA England Masters possess a wealth of experience and the players relish the opportunity to pass this on during matches, through coaching sessions and over drinks at the bar once the day’s play has concluded.

Whether the Masters are playing an international team or a local side, the legacy of the fixture lives on long after stumps are drawn.

ABOUT SUTTON CC

Sutton Cricket Club are founding members of the ECB Surrey Championship and compete in the highest standard of recreational cricket in the country.

In 2017, our 1st XI won Surrey Championship Division 1 by remaining unbeaten throughout the season and in 2018, our 2nd XI secured the Division 1 title, which means 2019 will see our top two teams compete in the Premier Division of their respective leagues.  We also run a 3rd XI in the Surrey Championship and a 4th XI in the Surrey Downs League.

Further to this, we have a colts section with over 150 members, run an ECB All Stars programme and have a thriving women’s team that competes in the Surrey Trust League.

To sustain our Club within the community for future generations, we need to continue to invest in our facilities and a match against the PCA England Masters will go a long way to securing our financial stability in the years ahead.

MATCH DAY

10.00am:         Colts cricket tournament with coaching session in the nets

12.00pm:         Champagne reception for all guests

12.30pm:         Three course marquee lunch followed by a Q&A with former England players

3.00pm:           Colts coaching session led by former England players

4.00pm:           T20 match between a Sutton CC Invitational XI and PCA England Masters with coloured clothing, pink ball and music

Final timings are TBC.

Throughout the day there will be a BBQ, various activities around the ground and a bar open from 12pm, serving beers, wines and spirits.
