Premier League 50 0ver Playing Conditions (January 01, 2008)

At the meeting of Premier League 1st XI Captains at Imber Court on 22 October the Surrey Championship Premiership clubs agreed to a one year experiment with a split format season, playing nine x 120 over matches as normal and nine 50 over matches under limited overs rules.
The split will be four x 50 over matches at the start of the season followed by nine x 120 over matches and five 50 over matches to finish the season. The 4/5 split is the reverse from what was agreed at the meeting because it has been easier to work out the fixtures that way. (Details of the fixtures here.)
I was asked by the Chairman at the meeting to come up with the draft playing conditions for the 50 over matches and these are attached. They were discussed by the Executive Committee at their meeting earlier this week and I have made the suggested amendments. We now need to agree these playing conditions. If the majority of the 10 clubs accept the playing conditions as drafted then we can proceed accordingly. If we cannot get this agreement then please send any suggested amendments and I will redraft and resubmit to you all.
Agreement to the proposed Playing Conditions for the 50 overs match or all comments MUST be with me by Monday 17 December 2007.
AS USUAL IF NO CLUB RESPONDS BY 17 DECEMBER 2007 THIS WILL BE TAKEN AS AGREEMENT TO THE CONDITIONS AS DRAFTED.
