Grants and Bursaries

Dear Coach,

Pro-Active South London (PASL) has access to funding to assist qualified Level 1 or 2 coaches based within South London.

This funding is based on a first come first served basis and will be distributed based on need as determined by PASL. In the light of time constraints anyone interested in the opportunity must respond to me by no later than 10th March 2010.

PASL are in a position to fund approximately 60 coaches to undertake Level 2 or 3 courses who are capable of meeting the following criteria:

Currently an active Level 1 or 2 coach.
Able to register for a Level 2 or Level 3 coursing course which must be completed and passed by the 31^st December 2010. We will not fund those who fail the course.
Able to provide a minimum of 15 hours voluntary coaching over a minimum period of 10 weeks to the same group of participants (must be a new activity).
All placements must be approved by PASL. PASL will assist in finding bursary coaches placements.
All delivery must be to young people aged between 10 to 19 years.
All placements must be within one of the South London boroughs of Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Sutton, Croydon or Bromley.
All delivery must take place within School term time but out of School hours. Before School and Lunch time provision is acceptable.
All delivery hours must be completed by the 31^st March 2011.
Must be willing to apply for a Skills Active �active passport� - www.activepassport.com (These passports will be funded by PASL.)
Is able to complete and return the attached application to me by no later than 10th March 2010.
Once accepted for funding the coach will need to forward a cheque for 100% of the course fee made payable to Pro-Active South London within 5 working days of receipt of the acceptance. Failing which the opportunity may be offered to those on the waiting list. Please note this cheque will only be cashed if funding is approved and the coach fails to comply with PASL requirements outlined in this communication. Provided the criteria outlined above are met, the cheque will be returned.
