| Selection guidelines for players: |

Sutton Cricket Club currently holds a selection meeting every Monday evening. The 1st XI captain chairs the meeting, (in his absence the most senior captain chairs,) and all captains are expected to attend. The selection committee produces a team sheet, which is distributed to the membership via post or Email on the following day.
IMPORTANT: Players responsibilities.
Players are expected to:
CONFIRM THEIR AVAILABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, BY COMPLETING THE 'AVAILABILITY' FORM ACCESSIBLE VIA THIS LINK or by phone, (see contact details here and on team sheet.)
In addition, players are expected to:

Play in the side for which they are selected without reservation.

Adhere to ‘meet times’ as published on the team sheet.

Ensure that their availability is given to a member of the selection committee before the Monday evening selection meeting.

Ensure that the club has full contact details, in additon to information as to how to the club communicates the team sheet, (e.g. post and/or email.)
- Keep ‘cry-offs’ to a minimum; but if 'crying-off,' advise the relevant team captain by telephone IMMEDIATELY!

(When a player has dropped out for injury or any other reason,) contact the captain for whom he last played, in order to indicate when next available.

Contact his usual team captain by telephone to check details, if the player, having made himself available, has not received a team sheet by Thursday night and needs clarification, (see contact info here and on team sheet.) |
