Cricket Coaching Opportunities for London’s Women!
From: Simon Hards Cricket Development Manager Subject: FW: Women into Coaching 2 - London - LEVEL 1 COURSE DATES
Hello
Please see below some information relating to some funding available for women wanting to get into coaching. Please pass this onto anyone you think might be eligible for the funding. Women into Coaching are also running a female only coaching course in Middlesex in December for people that meet the funding criteria, so if you know anyone within your club who may be eligible, here is a great opportunity to access a UKCC Level 1 course free of charge.
Kind Regards
Simon

The eligibility criteria for the programme are as follows –
-
Minimum applicant age is 16 years old.
-
If you are working, your employer must be based in London or you must be living in London: i.e. you must be paying your council tax (where applicable) to a London Borough.
-
Funding cannot be used to support women working in the public sector / large enterprises or FE and HE students.
-
You must not have received ESF funding for more than two consecutive years before applying for this project.
-
You must commit to completing the coaching qualification and attending all courses and training sessions.
-
You must provide us with documentation prior to starting your coaching course, this includes a passport copy (proving British Citizenship or right of abode in the UK) and a signed declaration from your employer (if applicable) confirming the size of the company you work for e.g. micro, small or medium enterprises only.
-
Preferably, you should be involved in a club (depending on your particular sport) which, on completion of your course, may be able to support you to secure coaching placements.
I have also attached some general publicity for the cricket courses funded as part of the Women into Coaching 2 – London programme. If you know of any clubs out there who have a training (specifically coaching) budget for their female participants, this programme could be the answer.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information regarding the programme.
Kind regards,
Zoe Calder

Did you know that 30% of women aged 65 and over in Australia still take part in regular sport or activity - compared to just 7% in the UK?
Or that newspapers in Germany, dedicate proportionally twice the coverage to women's sport than the UKpress?
Or that in the era of multi-millionaires like Wayne Rooney, and Jonny Wilkinson, there are no women playing team sports professionally in the UK?
