Coach Eduation Pathway for Cricket (November 06, 2007)
Dear UKC Level 2 Coach,
I am writing to you as the person responsible for coach education across Surrey. You may or may not be aware that the Coach Eduation Pathway for Cricket has changed recently to the UKCC (United Kingdom Coaching Certificate) framework (diagram of the framework attached within the CDWs pdf). Following on from the UKCC Level 2 course there are now a number of practical workshops that you can attend based around specific skills within the game. Please note that you dont need to have completed your assessment to go on these courses, so if you are awaiting your assessment you can still book onto these workshops. They are:
- CDW 1 - Developing Batters
- CDW 2 - Using Video when working with batters
- CDW 3 - Working with bowlers and using video cameras
- CDW 4 - Working in the nets
- CDW 5 - Working with fielders and keepers
- CDW 6 - Coaching a team

The workshops cost £25 for ECBCA (Coaches Association) members and £35 for non members. All the information, including a booking form, is attached. More information about the benefits of becoming a member of the ECBCA can be found here. I have attached a membership form for those who are interested.
There are currently around 18 places available on each of the 6 workshops and places will be given out on a first come first served basis (on receipt of a booking form and payment).Please note that the CDW on Friday 23rd November will now be held on Monday 17th December at John Fisher School in Purley from 7-10pm.
