Colts Section FAQs (May 27, 2008)
Subscriptions for the 2007 season were £50.00, which includes outdoor nets and matches, (2008 TBA,) Family membership is also available.
Junior Colts (U11,s) – Wed evening 6.00 – 8.00pm
Senior Colts (U12,s and older) – Mon evening 6.00 – 8.00pm
All coaching takes place at our main ground in Cheam Road, Sutton.
Yes, they are normally held at Homefield Prep School from mid January. (For 2008 TBA.)
Yes, we are members of the NEC Colts Cricket League. In 2007 we entered sides at U9 to U16, inclusive. We also arrange ad hoc friendlies at various age groups.
At around six years old, this can be flexible depending on the child’s physical and mental maturity.
Each age group is under the control of a team manager who will look after the side on match days'. The team manager will also select the side in conjunction with the coaches.
White shirt, cricket whites or tracksuit bottom and white trainers for coaching (no football shirts please) For games: Cricket whites, white shirt, cricket boots or white trainers. Sutton Cricket Club kit is also available, see our shop!
Girls are welcome to join SCC, however we do not have a specific girls section, although we are happy to recommend a local club please visit: The Redoubtables for further information.
The majority of home games are played at our Holmwood Close ground in Cheam; the more prestigious games are played at the main ground in Cheam Road.
All coaches hold ECB coaching qualifications and have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau; the majority are SCC players or ex-players.
