More County honurs for our colts! (July 15, 2007)
Sutton CC’s Josh Allen, Elliot Daly, Josh Taylor and Sam Woods, have all been selected again to represent the County at U14 level, next Wednesday, July 25th.
After winning Group 8 of the ECB U14 county competition regional stages, the county face a quarter-final fixture against Middlesex at Merchant Taylor’s School, on July 25th.
Charlie Dennis, another of our U14s and also a county regular, won’t be making the fixture, unfortunately. He’s out injured for potentially, the remainder of the season. The club wishes Charlie a speedy recovery.
Wales will be looking to retain their title after winning last year's inaugural ECB U14 County Cup. The Quarter-Finals, involving the 8 Group Winners, are to be played by Sunday 29th July.
The 4 remaining teams will progress to the Finals Festival at Oundle School where the Semi-Finals will be played on Monday 13th August with the Final and 3rd Place play-off on the following day.
Josh Allen’s younger brother, Harry, ('Aitch as he now known courtesy of Pete Edwards,) played for the county U11 side vs Berkshire on Tuesday 17/7/07, and has been selected for the U11 squad to compete at the Shrewsbury ECSA Festival, later this month.
Congratulations also to U16 Haseeb Nadeem who has recently been playing in 2-day county fixtures for his age group, and U10 Matthew Gardener and U9s Jonathan Eales, who have been chosen for their respective age group squad.
Well done to all the boys and enjoy your cricket at the higher level. Click here to return to the News page
